THE BOTHE TEAM
Cathryn has been President since 2003. She is completely committed to the success of the Bothe Associates which can only be based on quality and service to our customers. The reinvention of a thousand year old product and the founding of Signature Needle Arts was the result of always seeking better ways to serve customers.
Kent has worked at Bothe Associates since the company was founded in 1950. With nearly seven decades of job shop experience, he has been involved at the forefront of machining technology; from the manually-controlled machines of our early years and into the complex multi-axis CNC world today. Kent was instrumental in pushing Bothe Associates to acquire its first CNC machine in the early 70’s and he has unmatched expertise in machining custom metal parts. Today, Kent programs our lathes and is our most valuable resource in terms of machine shop experience and knowledge of parts, processes and equipment.
Laura coordinates most customer-related functions from order-processing and expediting to scheduling and shipping, while managing all the intricate parts and processes within our shop. With three decades of job shop experience, Laura has tremendous expertise in crafting manufacturing solutions for our customers and tackling any issues in production. She prides herself on knowing the status of parts in the shop at nearly all times and being the primary contact for most of our customers. Laura also is a key member of the Signature Needle Arts traveling team. Laura spends her free time with her husband and two kids – although they are almost empty-nesters. She listens to as many podcasts as possible and loves to read and knit.
Paul has nearly 25 years of experience in manufacturing and truly enjoys the sounds, sights, and smells of a machine shop. At age 11, Paul started regularly running machines, and spent as much time as possible learning machining and running parts on nights, weekends, and summers. In 2003, Paul joined Bothe Associates full time and is responsible for process planning and estimating on all new parts, along with interfacing with customers, and managing larger projects. One of the most enjoyable parts of his job is using maufacturing knowledge to creatively solve problems for our customers. Paul enjoys many outdoor activities, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his wife, Marian, and his dog, Data.
